Specifications

A typical specification for FutureWall includes:

GENERAL

  • The relocatable partitioning, wall lining and office screening system shall be equivalent to the FutureWall™ System manufactured under license by the appointed licensee.
  • The system shall be constructed from re-useable framing capable from receiving removable pre-finished solid or glass panels.
  • The system shall be able to integrate centre-line glazing, doors and screens. All exposed aluminium components shall be painted or anodised.

FRAMING

  • Framing shall consist of pre-machined extruded aluminium stud, furring and track sections.
  • The head track shall be of "C" channel form with provisions for panel hanging and attachment of cornice trims if required.
  • The floor track shall be of "C" channel form with provision to support an adjustable mechanism to accommodate building tolerances.
  • The stud shall be an "H" section with appropriate profile to receive panels and furniture brackets as required. The stud web should be punched allowing for horizontal service reticulation and the integration of a height adjuster mechanism.
  • The furring channel should be of batten form with appropriate profile to receive panels and furniture brackets as required.

PANELS - GENERAL

  • All panels shall be factory pre-finished to specification. Maximum full height panel width shall be 1200mm.
  • Panels shall be removable, capable of hanging from the head track and being clipped securely into the stud by means of an appropriate continuous strip connector.

STANDARD PANELS

  • Solid modular panels shall be typically 12mm MDF, factory finished to specification.
  • Panels of alternate material shall be to specification in terms of thickness, width, profile and finish.
  • Glass modular panels shall be 6mm laminated glass glazed into a pre-finished aluminium frame. Maximum glass height and width shall be 2400mm and 900mm respectively.

DOORS AND FURNITURE

  • The system shall be capable of integrating standard doors and custom or system furniture.
  • Doors to be hung on three butt hinges.
  • Door hardware to be specified.

PANEL JOINTS

  • The system shall be capable of allowing a variety of jointing details. Typically the system shall provide for butt or shadow joints, or soft joints to accommodate furniture attachment, or decorative attachments to design specification.

CORNERS

  • All corners and junctions shall be stud-free and capable of being opened to facilitate service reticulation and ready access to the cavity.

TRIMS

  • Skirtings shall be typically pre-finished aluminium section screw-fixed to structural framing. Profile to designer's specification.
  • Cornices, if specified, shall be typically pre-finished aluminium section capable of being snapped into the head track. Profile to designer's specification.
